For those who are unfamiliar, a Chinese man, Jian Feng sued his wife after she gave birth to what he called an "ugly" baby girl, claiming that his wife must have cheated on him. He got a paternity test and found out that the children were in fact his, and that his kids actually favored his wife prior to her having $62,000 worth of surgery that he knew nothing about.
Jian Feng won the lawsuit based on his claim that his wife married him under false pretenses because she never told him about her face changing plastic surgery. The judge found his claims valid and awarded Feng $75,000 for damages.
Was Feng's wife wrong for not sharing her before and after pictures with her husband prior to marriage?
Would you get a paternity test if you had a beautiful spouse but the kids came out "ugly"?
Whose side would you be on if you were the judge?

I think they are BOTH wrong honestly. She SHOULD have told him about the surgery. However, in some countries being married is like trying to get a job and build an empire, so disclosing secrets can leave you in bad standing with your family. So I understand from that perspective. Feng was wrong because who wants to have their children growing up knowing your dad thinks your ugly. But again, in their culture her appearance could impede her from getting married and bring her what seems like she already carries, shame. All and all we live in a crazy world -___-
ReplyDeleteLol. This is too funny. Now the children can read about it.actually I didn't know a man could sue his wife and the paternity was in her favor (sort of speak) so why did the judge have to go further. I agree with with the last commenter though in their culture , beauty is everything and he proved that
